Dr. Dawn Mason Owner / Veterinarian a resident of Woodstock since 2000, Dr. Mason is originally from LaGrange Kentucky, a small town just north of Louisville. Dr. Mason received her Bachelors degree with honors in biology from the university of Louisville where she was actively involved with her community and campus. She is a 1999 honors graduate from Auburn University College of Veterinarian Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Mason took residence in Dunwoody later moving to the area of Woodstock with her husband since 2001. She and her husband Jamie have 2 children, Lauren and Mac who attend a local high school. Dr. Mason loves all animals but spends her days performing surgery and wellness care on cats and dogs. Her career has rewarded her with the ability to balance a family and working relationship. Although Dr. Mason enjoys practicing as a veterinarian, she always dreamed of having an animal hospital of her own and opened Harmony Animal Hospital in February 2014. Dr. Mason enjoys reaching out to her community and looks forward to serving the Holly Springs community featuring a quality animal hospital with a small-town feel. In her free time Dr. Mason spends time with her family and loves cycling, running, and working out.
Dr. Michelle Grasso - Veterinarian A resident of Georgia since 1997, Dr. Grasso received her Associate of science degree from Young Harris College where she played collegiate tennis. She then went on to receive her Bachelors degree with honors in biology from Shorter College (now known as Shorter University) where she also played collegiate tennis and volleyball. She is a 2011 graduate from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Dawgs!). After graduating, Dr. Grasso took residence in Dacula, GA and practiced small animal medicine in Braselton, GA for the last five years and then joined Harmony Animal Hospital team in 2016. She and her husband Ryan have two boys (Maddox and Bryson) and two dogs named Kahlua and Jesse. She has special interests in dermatology and surgery. She has a strong drive to help all animals and is dedicated to their happiness and wellbeing. When not working, Dr. Grasso loves spending time with her family, working out at the gym, and playing tennis.
Linda is an Ohio native that has called North Georgia home for 16 years. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2001 starting as a veterinary assistant. Her other talents include dog grooming and canine obedience training. Her love of animals began at an early age and she began participating in 4-H dog clubs as a child. She is currently an active member of the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America. Linda was introduced to sporting dogs by her grandfather who raised English pointers, setters and springers for hunting. She raises flat-coated retrievers and has Dream, River, Raven, Zippy and Arlo who reside with her along with her cat, Stevie. Linda has experience with small animal practice and exotics. Along with working with dogs and cats, she has worked with rabbits, birds, snakes, turtles, guinea pigs as well as wildlife and has owned horses until recently. In her spare time, she loves hiking the North Georgia Mountains and enjoys antiquing and refinishing old furniture.
Jennifer joined the Harmony family in 2021. She has loved taking care of animals since the age of 16. Jennifer graduated from Kennesaw State in Health Care Science and is currently studying to obtain her Veterinary Technology certification. She moved down to Georgia from New Hampshire at the age of 7. She now lives in Canton with her fiancé, and her three fur children: ‘Busch’, a golden retriever, ‘Kahlua’, a DLH cat, and "Bud", a
chocolate lab.
Colleen came to us with over 8 years of experience. She is very passionate about caring for our clients fur children, and adores every patient as if they were her own. Colleen has two fur children of her own, "Eagle" (who she raised from 7 weeks old), and "Ariel" (a rescue kitty). She was able to adopt "Eagle" after being a puppy raiser for "The Guide Dog Foundation". Colleen loves being outdoors and takes "Eagle" hiking and swimming every chance she gets.
Amie joined the Harmony family in 2021. She grew up outside Washington, D.C. in Arlington, Virginia. Her love for animals began when she was a young girl and she followed that love into a career. Rescuing and caring for animals in need has long been Amie’s passion. She has been working as a veterinary assistant for the last 9 years and recently relocated from Asheville, NC to Acworth where she lives with her wife, Tasha, and two pups, Milo and Fynn. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking and kayaking.
Katie has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. She grew up helping her father care for hunting dogs and that is where her love for animals began. In her almost decade of being in veterinary medicine, Katie has worked with small animals, large animals, wildlife, and pocket pets. Katie now resides in the North Georgia Mountains with her four rescue dogs: Tao, Bandana, Bullet, and Gunner and rescue cat Roux Laveau.
